Description
The 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Game was an event like none before it in All-Star Game history.
For the first time ever, the NHL split its All-Stars into four teams, one from each division, and played a 3-on-3 tournament using the league's new overtime format.
Three 20-minute games (of two 10-minute halves each) were played in the single elimination tournament. After the two Eastern Conference and Western Conference divisions played for the right to reach the final game, the Pacific Division All-Stars were crowned winners after a 1-0 victory over the Atlantic Division All-Stars.
