Description
On a bright and sunny New Year's Day in front of 42,832 at Nationals Park in Washington, DC, the National Hockey League's seventh annual classic was a last-minute thriller that saw the Washington Capitals defeat the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2, in the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.
The Washington Capitals-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ...the actual pair of pants worn by #83 Jay Beagle of the Washington Capitals during this historic event.
The Capitals wore another set of Classic-style jerseys, without the Winter Classic patch, and a new set of socks, in a 4-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Shirts Off Our Backs Day on April 11, 2015 at Verizon Center. The Capitals used the same set of Classic-style pants, pants shells, gloves and helmets in both games.
These CCM pants have been registered into the Capitals-MeiGray Authentication Program as number MGA000944. The number '83' is handwritten on the size tag.
Every jersey worn by the participating teams in the MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Program contains a uniquely numbered inventory tag sewn into the jersey BEFORE IT IS WORN BY THE PLAYER ON THE ICE. This tag is equipped with security features regularly checked by MGG Game-Worn Jersey Program Directors so we can tell who wore the jersey, and when.
