Background information for this auction: The New York Rangers will host Pride Night on January 24, 2022 to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community as part of the NHL's "Hockey is for Everyone" campaign and the continued efforts to improve diversity and inclusion across the sport. All net proceeds from this auction benefit the Garden of Dreams Foundation and Covenant House New York, a partner of the Garden of Dreams Foundation. Covenant House is New York City's largest provider serving youth experiencing homelessness. So much more than a shelter, they provide affirming and transformative services so each young person can create their own path to independence. In an Open Auction, buyers bid until the auction ends. The item is then sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction period. There is no reserve price in an Open auction. The seller must sell the item to the highest bidder. Bidding can start as low as the Opening Value (minimum price or starting amount) of the auction. Once the auction closes, email notification providing contact information is sent to the buyer and seller automatically so that arrangements for payment and shipment of the item can be determined.
What is a Maximum Bid?
Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached.
