This Carolina Hurricanes GAME WORN Anton Khudobin #31 (2014-15, 2nd set) jersey is red, size 58. Khudobin began his hockey career in his native Kazakhstan before moving to Russia to join a hockey school. He won a gold medal with Russia's U18 team at the 2004 IIHF World Under-18 Championships. In addition, he won silver medals with Russia's junior team at the 2005 and 2006 IIHF World Junior Ice Hockey Championships. He was drafted by the Minnesota Wild during the 2004 NHL Entry Draft as the 206th overall pick. Near the 2011 trade deadline, Khudobin was traded to the Boston Bruins and was called up on an emergency basis during the Bruins' 2011 Stanley Cup playoffs. In July 2011, Khudobin signed a two-year contract extension with the Bruins and played his first full game in April 2012, earning a win against the Ottawa Senators. In July 2013, the Carolina Hurricanes signed Khudobin to a one-year, one-way contract; he was later resigned to a two-year contract following the 2013-14 season. In June 2015, Khudobin was traded to the Anaheim Ducks during the 2015 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for James Wisniewski. All proceeds benefit the Kids 'N Community Foundation, the Carolina Hurricanes charitable arm.
