This is your chance to own the guitar that was played by Metallica's Kirk Hammett during the National Anthem at game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the San Jose Sharks and Pittsburgh Penguins. The ESP Guitar is Kirk Hammett's signature series KH guitar with skull frets and will be signed by all four Metallica band members (James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich and Robert Trujillo.)
All proceeds from this auction will benefit the Ronald McDonald at Stanford and Little Kids Rock. Ronald McDonald House at Stanford creates a home-away-from-home and supportive community for families of children with life-threatening illnesses receiving specialized treatment at local hospitals. Little Kids Rock is a national nonprofit that is dedicated to building a world where kids can live rich, purposeful lives by ensuring that all public school children have the opportunity to unlock their inner music makers.

In an Open Auction, buyers bid until the auction ends. The item is then sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction period. There is no reserve price in an Open auction. The seller must sell the item to the highest bidder. Bidding can start as low as the Opening Value (minimum price or starting amount) of the auction. Once the auction closes, email notification providing contact information is sent to the buyer and seller automatically so that arrangements for payment and shipment of the item can be determined.
What is a Maximum Bid?
Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached.
