Description
The largest crowd ever to see a hockey game, 105, 491, packed Univ. of Michigan Stadium on New Year's Day. In chilling 15-degree temperatures and light snow, the National Hockey League's sixth annual event, the 2014 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, was a thriller that saw the Toronto Maple Leafs defeat the Detroit Red Wings, 3-2, in a shootout.
The NHL-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the actual jersey prepared for use by #38 Frazer McLaren of the Toronto Maple Leafs during the first period of this historic event.
This blue jersey is a Size 58+ and is registered into the NHL-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number K06551.
The Red Wings wore a red jersey with beige stripes and stylized felt numbers that evoked elements of several eras, and included new striping patterns. The famed Winged Wheel crest is felt. The number style was used in 1982-83, the font of the word DETROIT dates to the 1930s, and the alternate captain and captain's letters in a diamond on the sleeve dates to the 1950s.
The Maple Leafs honored their storied history by wearing a blue and white jersey that evoked memories of their jerseys from 1930-34. Their felt crest and numbers included detailed stitching and accents.
Affixed to the right shoulder of each jersey is the 2014 NHL Winter Classic patch. NHL Winter Classic is screened into the inside back collar of each jersey.

What is a Maximum Bid?
Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached. By way of an example, if an auction opens at $10 with a $1 bid increment and you place a maximum bid of $100, your bid will initially be processed at $11. If another bidder places a bid at $12, the system will automatically bid $13 for you and will continue up to your maximum bid amount of $100.
