Description

On a crisp New Year's Day in front of 67,246 at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA, the National Hockey League's eighth annual classic matched two Original Six franchises whose rivalry has burned for decades. The Montreal Canadiens defeated the Boston Bruins, 5-1, in the 2016 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.

On New Year's Eve day, each team held a practice to experience the unique outdoor rink and prepare for the game.

The NHL-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the actual jersey worn by #63 Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins at the Bruins' team practice at Gillette Stadium on December 31, 2015.

This white jersey is a Size 56 and is registered into the NHL-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number M00294.

Each player wore a specially designed and customized practice jersey throughout the practice. Each player had a jersey hanging in his Winter Classic dressing room stall the morning of the practice, and that number was recorded on the jersey's size tag. Jerseys were then switched and assigned based on Coach Claude Julien's practice line combinations and defensive pairings. After the practice, the number of the player who actually wore that jersey was written onto the fight strap.

The 2016 NHL Winter Classic patch is affixed to the right shoulder of each jersey.

What is a Maximum Bid?

Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached. By way of an example, if an auction opens at $10 with a $1 bid increment and you place a maximum bid of $100, your bid will initially be processed at $11. If another bidder places a bid at $12, the system will automatically bid $13 for you and will continue up to your maximum bid amount of $100.
