Description

We are all Charleston Strong.

The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 23 seasons in the Lowcountry and proud affiliate of the National Hockey League's Washington Capitals, wore a unique set of "Charleston Strong" jerseys in their 2015-16 ECHL season opener on Saturday, October 17.

The jerseys were worn as part of Mother Emanuel AME Church Family Night, an evening to honor and remember the individuals impacted in the Charleston church shooting this past June, which claimed nine lives and left three survivors deeply impacted.

Auction proceeds will benefit the children of the victims.

The South Carolina Stingrays and The MeiGray Group are proud to offer collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history... the actual Charleston Strong jersey worn by #17 Bobby Shea during the Stingrays' "Mother Emanuel AME Church Family Night" game on October 17, 2015 at North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, SC.

This white jersey, a Size XL, is registered into The MeiGrade System as No. 152246.

The specialty jerseys feature the "Charleston Strong" motto, which has brought the community together in unity, across the front of the uniform. The design of the jersey also features the Mother Emanuel AME Church logo on both shoulders. A silhouette of the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, one of Charleston's most iconic landmarks, appears on both sides of the jersey.

"The community has always been important to the South Carolina Stingrays organization and we'd like to show our love and support to the families of Mother Emanuel AME Church. This special night will give our fans and our organization an opportunity to rally around an event that has impacted many lives," said Rob Concannon, President of the South Carolina Stingrays.

"Whether you collect jerseys and love hockey, or just want to support this important endeavor, this is one auction you should not miss," said Barry Meisel, President of The MeiGray Group. "We are all Charleston Strong."

MeiGray has worked with the ECHL since 2001 and authenticates for the National Hockey League, the National Basketball Association, USA Hockey and the United States Tennis Association at the US Open.

What is a Maximum Bid?

Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached. By way of an example, if an auction opens at $10 with a $1 bid increment and you place a maximum bid of $100, your bid will initially be processed at $11. If another bidder places a bid at $12, the system will automatically bid $13 for you and will continue up to your maximum bid amount of $100.
