Description
The 2013-14 NHL season marks the 15th anniversary of Hockey Fights Cancer. The NHL and NHLPA marked this milestone with its annual Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Month campaign in October. During the month, all 30 NHL Clubs enlisted its players, management and fans to join the fight as they designated one home game as their Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night.
The National Hockey League-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... an actual stick used in the pre-game warmup by #14, Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars on October 24, 2013 when the Dallas Stars faced the Calgary Flames during the Dallas Stars' Hockey Fights Cancer Awareness Night.
"BENN" has been printed on the shaft. The handle and blade have been taped with lavender colored tape. Benn has signed the blade of the stick.
This Bauer Total One NXG stick, registered into the MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number 148389, was used by Jamie Benn of the Dallas Stars. It was then autographed by Benn after the game. The estimated value of the stick for tax purposes is $500.
A portion* of the proceeds from this auction will benefit Hockey Fights Cancer. The Hockey Fights Cancer program is supported by NHL Member Clubs, NHL Alumni, the NHL Officials' Association, Professional Hockey Trainers and Equipment Managers, corporate marketing partners, broadcast partners and fans throughout North America.
On behalf of the NHLPA, NHL and Hockey Fights Cancer we would like to thank you for your generous participation and support of this worthy cause.

In an Open Auction, buyers bid until the auction ends. The item is then sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction period. There is no reserve price in an Open auction. The seller must sell the item to the highest bidder. Bidding can start as low as the Opening Value (minimum price or starting amount) of the auction. Once the auction closes, email notification providing contact information is sent to the buyer and seller automatically so that arrangements for payment and shipment of the item can be determined.
What is a Maximum Bid?
Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached. By way of an example, if an auction opens at $10 with a $1 bid increment and you place a maximum bid of $100, your bid will initially be processed at $11. If another bidder places a bid at $12, the system will automatically bid $13 for you and will continue up to your maximum bid amount of $100.
