Description

On a bright and sunny New Year's Day in front of 42,832 at Nationals Park in Washington, DC, the National Hockey League's seventh annual classic was a last-minute thriller that saw the Washington Capitals defeat the Chicago Blackhawks, 3-2, in the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.

The NHL-MeiGray Group Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program is proud to offer fans and collectors across the globe the opportunity to own a piece of history ... the actual jersey worn by #20 Troy Brouwer of the Washington Capitals during the first period of this historic event.

This red jersey is a Size 58 and is registered into the NHL-MeiGray Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program as number L01136.

The Capitals wore a deep red jersey to symbolize hockey's deep roots in Washington. The uniform also featured three stars and two vertical stripes across the front, a call back to the DC flag. The Blackhawks honored their storied history by wearing a white jersey with black and red accents that evoked memories of their jerseys from the late 1950s.

Affixed to the right shoulder of each jersey is the 2015 NHL Winter Classic patch. NHL Winter Classic is screened into the inside back collar of each jersey.

Here's what's up for bid from the 2015 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic:

What is a Maximum Bid?

Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached. By way of an example, if an auction opens at $10 with a $1 bid increment and you place a maximum bid of $100, your bid will initially be processed at $11. If another bidder places a bid at $12, the system will automatically bid $13 for you and will continue up to your maximum bid amount of $100.
