Description
Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 2023 Online Charity Auction! Please note net proceeds from the sale of this particular item will be directed to the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society and the Inner City Youth Development Association. Show your support by bidding on this Stuart Skinner #74 - Autographed 2022-23 Edmonton Oilers Pre-Game Warm-Up Worn Indigenous Celebration Night Turtle Island Jersey (Worn twice - Nov 28, 2022 in Edmonton & March 4th, 2023 in Winnipeg). To recognize the culture, talent and creativity of Indigenous communities, the Edmonton Oilers held an Indigenous Celebration Night on Monday, November 28th when the club hosted the Florida Panthers at Rogers Place. During this game Oilers players wore special Turtle Island jerseys during the pre-game warm up for the purposes of auctioning off all in support of charity. These Adidas made pro quality navy blue practice jerseys with fight strap were customized with the very special Edmonton Oilers Turtle Island logo . It was created in collaboration with Edmonton based indigenous designer and artist Lance Cardinal of Bigstone Cree First Nations, and features the Oilers logo incorporated into the body of a turtle, which in Cree lore represents creation, wisdom and spirituality. The turtle is also a reference to Turtle Island, the land mass upon which all 32 NHL teams compete. The stylized eagle feathers represent one of the highest honours that can be bestowed in Cree culture, in traditionally significant colors representing air, water, fire and earth. Please note the team also wore this set of jerseys on Saturday March 4th, 2023 when they visited the Winnipeg Jets who held a similar celebration night in support of the Aboriginal Sport Achievement Centre. On the back of the jersey the respective player's surname is displayed in white letters on a matching navy blue name bar. Their respective jersey number is also displayed on the back and sleeves in the colorful indigenous number pattern. This particular jersey is a size 60G and is indicated as such in the collar. The jersey features a special uniform set tag sewn into the inside bottom hem that reads "Edmonton Oilers, "INDIGENOUS CELEBRATION GAME, PRE_GAME WARM UP SET, Nov 28th, 2022 vs Florida & Mar 4th, 2023 @ Winnipeg" along with the facsimile signature of Jeff Lang the team's Head Equipment Manager. In addition, there is an Edmonton Oilers Game-Worn Jersey Inventory tag #A00279 sewn into the inside bottom hem. This particular jersey was worn by Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner for both games mentioned above and is crested with his #74 and surname on the back. As is to be expected there is very little to no visible wear on the jersey considering it was worn for only the pre-game warm-up. Finally as an added bonus the jersey has been nicely autographed by Stuart Skinner in black paint marker on the back number making it ready for display in your Oilers memorabilia collection! The jersey will come complete with a Letter of Authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club.

In an Open Auction, buyers bid until the auction ends. The item is then sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction period. There is no reserve price in an Open auction. The seller must sell the item to the highest bidder. Bidding can start as low as the Opening Value (minimum price or starting amount) of the auction. Once the auction closes, email notification providing contact information is sent to the buyer and seller automatically so that arrangements for payment and shipment of the item can be determined.
What is a Maximum Bid?
Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached. By way of an example, if an auction opens at $10 with a $1 bid increment and you place a maximum bid of $100, your bid will initially be processed at $11. If another bidder places a bid at $12, the system will automatically bid $13 for you and will continue up to your maximum bid amount of $100.
