Description
Wow - this piece of hockey history from the personal effects of Gordie Howe was on display at the Hockey Hall of Fame from 2019-2022. On October 15, 1989 against his former team, The Great One - Wayne Gretzky passed Howe as the career leader in points scored in the NHL. His 1,850 record tying point came in first period while the record breaking 1,851st point came as a goal at 19:07 of the 3rd period, sending the game to overtime. The game-winning goal was scored by who else? The Great One himself, making it a three-point night. Speeches were made by Gretzky as well as Howe in an on-ice ceremony commemorating the accomplishment. This original score sheet from the game has been signed by Gretzky and has been a prized part of Mr. Hockey's own personal collection.
Comes with Certificate of Authenticity from Gordie Howe's sons Mark and Marty Howe. Proceeds support The Howe Foundation.
