Description
As seen on Unveiled by Smashfest, this is a one-of-a-kind original piece of art inspired by Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins. The canvas is a Killerspin MyT10 table tennis table (un-painted retail value of $999) which has been painted using spray paint by world-renowned graffiti artist Alexander Bacon. The table will be signed by Brad Marchand before delivery.
About Alexander Bacon:
Canadian graffiti artist Alexander Bacon has achieved international recognition but is best known for his colorful works lining the alleys and streets of Toronto. His work has evolved to deconstructing traditional graffiti spray paint techniques to create an abstract graffiti style while maintaining letter form. His use of a mature color pallet and mixing of realism with the stylized graffiti fonts gives a unique look with smooth transitions and texture. Most recently Bacon has been doing large scale murals and canvas work around the world.
About Brad Marchand:
Brad Marchand plays left wing for the Boston Bruins. In 10 seasons, Marchand has captured 1 Stanley Cup, appeared in 2 NHL All-Star Games, and won a World Cup title while starring for Team Canada. He is one of the most exciting and dynamic players in the National Hockey League.
About Smashfest:
Smashfest is an annual charity event featuring NHL players and other celebrities. Guests play with and against their favorite NHL stars in a fun festive environment for a good cause. Over 100 NHL players have participated over the years, including Steven Stamkos, Mitch Marner, Tyler Seguin, Taylor Hall, and many others. The event has also featured legends and Hall of Famers like Doug Gilmour, Martin St. Louis, and Eric Lindros. In 8 years, Smashfest has raised over $1 Million for charity.
About the charity:
Proceeds from the Unveiled by Smashfest Auction support rare cancer research. Collectively, rare cancers make up over a quarter of all cancers, including all childhood cancers. Many of these patients face uncertain futures because of a lack of data and funding for research. Money goes to the Katie Moore Foundation's rare cancer cell line project at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.

In an Open Auction, buyers bid until the auction ends. The item is then sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction period. There is no reserve price in an Open auction. The seller must sell the item to the highest bidder. Bidding can start as low as the Opening Value (minimum price or starting amount) of the auction. Once the auction closes, email notification providing contact information is sent to the buyer and seller automatically so that arrangements for payment and shipment of the item can be determined.
What is a Maximum Bid?
Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached. By way of an example, if an auction opens at $10 with a $1 bid increment and you place a maximum bid of $100, your bid will initially be processed at $11. If another bidder places a bid at $12, the system will automatically bid $13 for you and will continue up to your maximum bid amount of $100.
