Description
The Carolina Hurricanes GAME WORN Chad LaRose # 59 jersey (2012-2013 season, 1st set) comes with a certificate of authenticity. It is a red jersey, size 56. LaRose started out as a product of the USHL?s Sioux Falls Stampede and the OHL?s Plymouth Whalers. During the 2002-03 season, LaRose led the Whalers in scoring with 117 points over a 67 game stretch. In that same year, he recorded the most goals in a single season for the Whalers with 61. Although he was never drafted, his aggressive play and ability to score caught the attention of NHL scouts and he was invited to a number of NHL training camps. LaRose began his 2003-04 season with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL and split his time between there and with the Lowell Lock Monsters that year. LaRose was then signed by the Carolina Hurricanes as a free agent in 2003. LaRose was a member of the Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup winning team during the 2005-06 season and after winning the Stanley Cup that year, the Hurricanes signed Chad to a two-year contract extension. On July 2, 2009, Carolina re-signed LaRose to another two-year extension valued at $3.4 million through the 2011 season. LaRose is currently an unrestricted free agent.
