Description

This AUTOGRAPHED puck signed by Rod Brind'Amour #17 and Niclas Wallin #7 comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Rod Brind'Amour was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. He joined the Blues during the 1989 Stanley Cup playoffs and made his debut in Game 5 where he scored a goal on his first shot. Following the 1990-91 season, Brind'Amour was traded to the Philadelphia Flyers where he served as an alternate captain. He culminated his career with the Flyers after 633 games with franchise records as the 7th all-time in assists, 10th all-time in goals and 9th overall in points. He was inducted into the Flyers Hall of Fame in 2015. During the 1999-2000 season, he was traded to the Hurricanes where he was one-third of the "BBC Line" which included Bates Battaglia and Erik Cole. Prior to the 2005-06 season, he was named captain of the Hurricanes. He won his first and only Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes in the 2005-06 season. During the off-season, he signed a five-year contract with the Hurricanes. In December 2006, Brind'Amour recorded his 1,000th career NHL point and in February 2007, he scored his 400th career goal. In January 2010, Brind'Amour was replaced as captain by Eric Staal. Following the conclusion of the 2009-2010 season, he retired from hockey. His number 17 jersey was retired by the Carolina Hurricanes in February 2011 prior to a game against the Philadelphia Flyers - the two teams he spent a bulk of his career with. He currently serves as an assistant coach with the Hurricanes. Niclas Wallin was drafted in the fourth round, 97th overall by the Hurricanes in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He played for the Hurricanes for nine seasons winning the Stanley Cup with the team in 2006. Wallin is known as "The Secret Weapon" due to his timing with postseason goals. Out of the four he scored in his career, all of them have been game winners with three of them taking place in overtime. In February 2010, he was traded to the San Jose Sharks. In June 2011, he signed a three-year contract to return to Sweden to captain Lulea HF of the Elitserien before retiring due to injury. In 2008, he represented Sweden in the World Championships. All proceeds benefit the Kids 'N Community Foundation, the Carolina Hurricanes charitable arm.
