This Military Appreciation AUTHENTIC Alexander Semin #28 Carolina Hurricanes Jersey was worn in pre-game warm-ups prior to the game against the Edmonton Oilers on March 8, 2015. The jersey is autographed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is a camouflage, size 58. Semin was trained in the Traktor Chelyabinsk hockey school and made his professional debut in Russia?s second-tier Russian Major League in 2001-2002. After scoring 21 goals and eight assists with Chelybinsk that season, the Washington Capitals selected Semin with their second pick, 13th overall in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Remaining in Russia for the subsequent season, he joined Lada Togliatti of the first-tier Russian Superleague in 2002-2003. Semin made his NHL debut in the 2003-2004 season with the Capitals, scoring 10 goals and 12 assists in 52 games. During the lockout in 2004, Semin returned to Russia to play for Lada Togliatti. Once Semin?s military obligations were fulfilled, he agreed to a two-year contract with the Capitals in 2006. He scored the team?s first goal in 2006 and recorded a hat trick in his second game. Semin played for Team Russia in the 2010 Winter Olympics. In 2012, Semin became the 5th all time leading goal scorer of the Capitals with his 197th goal. On July 2012, the Carolina Hurricanes signed Semin to a one-year contract. During the 2012 NHL lockout, Semin signed with Sokol Krasnoyarks from VHL where he would wear jersey #28 and play in his hometown for free. Prior to the 2015-2016 season, Semin signed a one-year deal with the Montreal Canadiens. All proceeds will benefit the Kids ?N Community Foundation.
