Description
Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 2018 Hockey Is For Everyone Online Auction. Proceeds from the sale of this item will be directed to the EOCF and the Dave Semenko Legacy Project. Show your support by bidding on this Glenn Anderson #9 - Autographed 1984-85 Edmonton Oilers NHL Centennial Greatest Team Celebration Event-Worn Jersey. The 1985 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup championship winning team was recently voted by hockey fans as the NHL Centennial Greatest Team. To recognize this incredible honour the hockey club brought the entire team back to Edmonton for a weekend celebration and charitable event held on February 11, 2018 at Rogers Place. On this amazing evening each player who attended the event received a brand new white Oilers vintage replica jersey complete with their name and old number proudly stitched on the back. They wore this special jersey first for a pre-event VIP meet and greet session with adoring fans in the club area of Rogers Place and again later in the evening during the first half of the formal event program up until the intermission. Fans in attendance were first treated to a captivating opening monologue by CBC TV's Peter Mansbridge followed by the entire team entering the floor of Rogers Place. Leading the way with the Stanley Cup in hand was none other than Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier! Then just like old times each member of the team one by one hoisted the Stanley Cup proudly over their head for one last time while wearing their respective 1985 Oilers home white replica jersey. Making their way to the stage the team was then seated and wore their jerseys for the first half of the program up until the intermission where they returned to the locker room to change into their custom tailored navy blue blazer style jackets worn for the second half of the show. The jersey was also worn by the team when introduced to fans prior to the puck drop at the Oilers versus Florida Panthers game the night of Monday February 12, 2018. Each of these exclusive player-worn jerseys are now available for auction to fans of that 1985 team across Oil Country and the world! These retro white RBK replica jerseys feature a special NHL Centennial Greatest Team Stanley Cup commemorative patch on the front right chest and are fully crested with the respective name and number of the player who wore it. This particular jersey was worn by Glenn Anderson, is crested to #9 with his surname on the back and is a size XL. Nicely autographed in permanent silver marker on the back number it is a very unique collectible from this great night in Edmonton Oilers history! The jersey will come complete with a Letter of Authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oilers Authentic Inventory Hologram applied to the back number.

In an Open Auction, buyers bid until the auction ends. The item is then sold to the highest bidder at the end of the auction period. There is no reserve price in an Open auction. The seller must sell the item to the highest bidder. Bidding can start as low as the Opening Value (minimum price or starting amount) of the auction. Once the auction closes, email notification providing contact information is sent to the buyer and seller automatically so that arrangements for payment and shipment of the item can be determined.
What is a Maximum Bid?
Your maximum bid amount is the highest price you are willing to pay for an item (subject to shipping and handling fees, plus applicable taxes). When you place your maximum bid amount, your bid will be processed in the designated bid increment amount above the current bid. If you are outbid, the system will automatically place bids for you at the bid increment until your maximum bid is reached. By way of an example, if an auction opens at $10 with a $1 bid increment and you place a maximum bid of $100, your bid will initially be processed at $11. If another bidder places a bid at $12, the system will automatically bid $13 for you and will continue up to your maximum bid amount of $100.
