Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 2023 Online Charity Auction! Please note net proceeds from the sale of this particular item will be directed to the Ben Stelter Fund. Show your support by bidding on this Stuart Skinner #74 - Autographed 2022-23 Edmonton Oilers Pre-game Warm-Up Worn Ben Stelter Tribute Jersey. On February 17th, 2023 the Edmonton Oilers hosted the New York Rangers and on this evening the team honoured Ben Stelter, the little boy who captured the hearts of Oilers players and fans last season by wearing special warm-up jerseys. Ben was the team's 2022 play-off ambassador and he passed away in August following a courageous battle with with glioblastoma, a type of aggressive brain cancer. These Adidas-made navy blue Oilers alternate game jerseys feature a special Ben patch on the front chest and a STELTER name-bar on the back. An official Oilers uniform set tag is sewn into the inside bottom hem that reads "Edmonton Oilers, Ben Stelter Fund, Pre-Game Warm Up Set, Feb 17, 2023 vs New York Rangers" along with the facsimile signature of Jeff Lang the team's Head Equipment Manager. In addition, there is an Edmonton Oilers Game-Worn Jersey Inventory tag sewn into the inside bottom hem. Inside the collar the jersey is imprinted Made in Canada and is a size 60G. This particular jersey was worn by Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner and is crested with his #74 and the STELTER name bar on the back. As is to be expected there is very little to no visible wear on the jersey considering it was worn for only the pre-game warm up of the one game. Finally as an added bonus the jersey has been nicely autographed by Stuart Skinner in black paint marker on the back number. The jersey will come complete with a Letter of Authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club.
