Description

This Carolina Hurricanes replica hockey stick signed by Justin Faulk #27, Andrej Sekera #4 and Tuomo Ruutu #15 comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Justin Faulk was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round (37th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. He played the 2010-2011 season with the University of Minnesota-Duluth, helping capture the national championship. In April of 2011, the Hurricanes signed Faulk to a three-year entry-level contract. He scored his first NHL goal that December against the Winnipeg Jets. Internationally, Faulk represented the United States at the 2010 IIHF World U18 Championships (winning gold), 2011 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships and the 2012 IIHF World Championship. In 2014, he competed on the world stage for the United States hockey team at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. During the 2014-2015 season, he was named to the NHL All Star game held in Columbus, Ohio. Starting with the 2015-16 season, Faulk has served as an alternate captain for the Hurricanes. Andrej Sekera was drafted in the 3rd by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Sekera scored his first NHL goal on November 28, 2007 against Manny Legace of the St. Louis Blues.In 2010 he was selected to represent Slovakia in the Vancouver Olympic Games. Slovakia finished fourth. On June 30, 2013 the Carolina Hurricanes acquired Sekera from the Sabres during the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. He was selected again in 2014 to represent Slovakia in the Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. On February 25, 2015 Sekera was traded to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a defensive prospect and a conditional first round pick. He currently plays for the Edmonton Oilers with whom he signed a six-year, $33 million dollar contract on July 1, 2015. Tuomo Ruutu started his career with HIFK in the Finnish SM-liiga in the 1999-2000 season, and moved to Jokerit for the next two seasons. He was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft as their first-round pick, #9 overall. Ruutu played his first full 82 games with the Blackhawks in the 2003-2004 NHL season. He represented Finland at the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and scored his first goal with Team Finland in the final against Canada. During the 2007-2008 season, the Chicago Blackhawks traded Tuomo Ruutu to the Carolina Hurricanes for Andrew Ladd at the trade deadline. He signed a one-year contract with the Hurricanes followed by a three-year contract in 2009. In the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Ruutu won the Bronze medal with Team Finland, and in 2011 he added a World Championship Gold medal. In 2012, the Hurricanes signed Ruutu to a four-year contract extension. On March 5th, 2014, Ruutu was traded to the New Jersey Devils for center Andrei Loktionov. All proceeds benefit the Kids 'N Community Foundation, the Carolina Hurricanes charitable arm.
