The Philadelphia Flyers honored the Philadelphia Police Department and the Police Athletic League (PAL) by wearing a commemorative jersey with the Philadelphia PD shield during the warmup prior to the Flyers' 5-4 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday, December 19.
The Flyers on this night honored Philadelphia Police Officer Ernest Pollard as the "Virtual Community Teammate" for his years of service and dedication to the development of the Paley PAL Center, a center sponsored by the Flyers parent company, Comcast-Spectacor. PAL is a long-standing partner of Comcast-Spectacor Charities.
