This Hockey Fights Cancer AUTOGRAPHED, AUTHENTIC Eric Staal #12 Carolina Hurricanes Jersey was worn in pre-game warm-ups prior to the game against the Ottawa Senators on November 7, 2015. The jersey comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is a purple, size 58. Staal was selected second overall in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Carolina Hurricanes. He played his first season in the NHL after being drafted and played in the YoungStars game as part of the 2004 NHL All-Star festivities. Staal led the Hurricanes in points during the 2006 Stanley Cup Playoffs with 28 points and has made four All-Star game appearances since 2007. He was a member of the gold medal Canadian team in the 2007 IIHF World Championship. Staal was named team captain on January 20, 2010, becoming the fifth Hurricanes captain since the team relocated to Raleigh. He is first in franchise history for career hat tricks, shorthanded goals, points in a game, and career playoff goals. In the 2014-2015 season Staal notched 54 points with 23 goals. All proceeds will benefit the Kids ?N Community Foundation.
