Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation 2017 Shirts Off Our Backs Online Auction in support of the Christmas Bureau of Edmonton! Show your support for the Foundation and the great charitable initiatives they undertake in Oil Country by bidding on this Glen Sather Banner Raising Night Memorabilia Collection Including Limited-Edition Silver Puck, Autographed Game Puck And Commemorative Blu-Ray Disc. On December 11, 2015, the Edmonton Oilers honoured Glen Sather and his remarkable NHL career by raising his banner to the rafters of Rexall Place. The emotional pre-game ceremony was attended by Oilers legends who had their jersey retired previously, plus a record number of Oilers Alumni for any banner raising ceremony! Following the tradition started during Wayne Gretzky's retirement ceremony and those that have followed since an extremely limited number of silver commemorative pucks were commissioned by the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and given out to VIP Guests of the event by both Glen Sather and the hockey club. Available in this lot is one of those fantastic silver pucks which is engraved on one side with the words "Edmonton Oilers Honour Glen Sather December 11, 2015" along with the Oilers logo and five Stanley Cups representing the championships he won as coach and general manager of the hockey club. Also included in this lot is one brand new official game puck (not game-used) that was especially made for the Oilers vs. Rangers game that night which has been nicely autographed by Glen Sather in permanent blue marker. The final item in this auction listing is a commemorative two Blu-Ray disc set that captures every minute of the ceremony and behind-the-scenes action from this great night in Edmonton Oilers history! This item will come complete with a Letter of Authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club.
