Welcome to the Edmonton Oilers "You Can Play Awareness Night" Online Charity Auction of autographed limited edition "Pride Tape" wrapped sticks in support of the "You Can Play" initiative ! Show your support for the NHL's Hockey Is For Everyone month bidding on this Collection Of Four Autographed 2016-17 Edmonton Oilers "You Can Play Night" Team Issued Sticks With Pride Tape (NOT USED) Including Darnell Nurse, Andrej Sekera, Benoit Pouliot & Drake Caggiula. Pride Tape is rainbow coloured, professional-grade hockey tape that is a physical representation of support from the teammates, coaches, parents and pros to young LGBTQ players. It shows every player that they belong in the game. Members of the Edmonton Oilers were the first team in the National Hockey League to use Pride Tape last season during their sold-out Skills Competition and once again held a "You Can Play Night" this season on Valentines Day, February 14th, 2017 at Rogers Place. On this night prior to playing the Arizona Coyotes members of the Edmonton Oilers used sticks taped with Pride Tape during the pre-game warm up. Up for grabs in this lot are four team issued and prepared sticks from that night however they do not show any use due to the fact the respective player was either injured in the case of Nurse and Pouliot or only used for a very short time during warm up...thus they are being sold as "Team Issued Only". The first stick in the lot is Andrej Sekera Warrior Alpha QX, next is a Darnell Nurse Warrior Dynasty HD1, followed by Drake Caggiula CCM Super Tacks and lastly a Benoit Pouliot Easton Stealth CX. All four composite sticks are in excellent almost new like condition and have their surnames or nick names factory stamped on the shafts. They are taped with the rainbow color Pride Tape on their respective blades and displays light to no use which as stated is the reason they are being sold as team issues only. Last but not least the sticks have been nicely signed in permanent marker by their respective player. These super rare, one of a kind collectables from the popular Oilers will come complete with a letter of authenticity from the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club and separate Edmonton Oilers Authentic Inventory Holograms on all three sticks.
