This Military Appreciation AUTOGRAPHED, AUTHENTIC Lee Stempniak #21 Carolina Hurricanes jersey was worn in pre-game warm-ups prior to the game against the Calgary Flames on February 26, 2017. The jersey comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is camouflage, size 56. Lee Stempniak was drafted in the fifth round by the St. Louis Blues in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He led the Blues in goals in his first full season with the team at just 23 years old. In 2008, he was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs, then traded to the Phoenix Coyotes in 2010. He signed a two-year contract with the Coyotes, but was traded to the Calgary Flames in August 2011. During the 2013-14 season, Stempniak was traded to Pittsburgh, then signed a one-year contract with the New York Rangers in July 2014. Stempniak went on to play for the Winnipeg Jets, New Jersey Devils and Boston Bruins between the 2014-15 season and the 2015-16 season. After the 2015-16 season, Stempniak joined the offseason as a free agent and was picked up by the Carolina Hurricanes on July 1, 2016. All proceeds benefit the Kids 'N Community Foundation.
