The jersey is autographed and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. It is lavender, size 58. McGinn was drafted 47th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. On April 3, 2013 McGinn signed a three-year entry level contract and made his professional debut with the Checkers shortly after. McGinn spent the 2013-2014 season with the Guelph Storm, his juniors team. McGinn played his first full professional season with the Checkers during the 2014-2015 season. On October 16, 2015 McGinn was recalled to the Hurricanes for the first time and made his debut against the Red Wings. He scored his first NHL goal on his first shift in the game to open scoring after only 55 seconds. It was the fastest debut goal since 1989, when Alexander Mogliny scored within 20 seconds of the start of the game. Brock is also the younger brother of fellow professional hockey players Jamie and Tye McGinn of the Buffalo Sabres and Tampa Bay Lightning. All proceeds benefit the Kids ?N Community Foundation.
